Davidoff Master Blenders crafted the Davidoff White Edition 2011 Belicoso Supremo with the goal of delivering a flavor experience that was not expected of a Davidoff cigar. Experimenting with various tobaccos, aged for 5 years, created a very unique and enjoyable variety of flavors. Originally released in very limited quantities in the US. We now revisit this incredible vintage blend.
This blend uses Pelo de Oro tobacco from Peru, aged for 5 years. Creating a medium bodied cigar with a peppery, woody flavors along with toasty notes. The blend of tobaccos creates an interesting stimulation to the palate – bitter and sweet, with light stimulation of the sour region. As the cigar develops, toasty notes begin to dominate lessening the pepper notes, making the wood notes a little more subtle and creamy. Aroma is very enjoyable and dense, with notes of spice and toasted nuts.
To bring the experience full-circle, compliment the White Edition 2011 Belicoso Supremo with a perfectly paired rum from the Dominican Republic – Brugal 1888. A rum aged in American Oak, then Spanish Sherry Casks. The pairing is spectacular. The peppery notes of the cigar balance very well with the sweeter rum, which balances the experience with flavor notes of caramel, vanilla, dark fruit and hints of citrus.
