For this special cigar, Davidoff Master Blenders sought inspiration from the captivating, vivid Dominican summer season. “Verano” is Spanish for summer.

The use of only Visus tobaccos in the filler gives the blend its very distinct aromas. One can taste the hours of sunshine that influenced the intensity of all the tobaccos in the blend, as they benefit from a higher rate of photosynthesis. The result is a medium intense cigar with a full body, perfectly suited for long, enjoyable evenings.

Crafted in 2016 and aged in perfect conditions in Davidoff’s vault ever since, many summers went by until the Master Blenders decided to open the vault again and delight even more aficionados with this exclusive vintage cigar. A generous Gordo format was chosen for this special blend to create an extra-long enjoyment time.

TASTING NOTES:

1/3 – Due to its large ring gauge, the cigar immediately delivers a favorable sweetness of caramel, corn and hazelnut with hints of ginger spice.

2/3 – The constantly changing taste impressions show how complex this cigar is. Leathery notes start to form in the second third, together with hints of coffee and dried fruit.

3/3 – The intensity slightly increases in the last third but never overwhelms the palate. An additional cacao sweetness, joined by cedar wood and fresh spice concludes this masterpiece.
